Central Wayne Regional Authority owns and operates a wastewater treatment plant and sewage collection system serving Honesdale Borough, Texas Township, and Cherry Ridge Township. CWRA is seeking a reliable, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Utility Maintenance Technician.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a stable, long-term career in public utilities. The successful candidate will receive paid on-the-job training, with the goal of obtaining an operator’s license for the wastewater treatment plant.
Position Responsibilities include:
- Maintenance and repair of sewer lines and related facilities
- Supporting daily operations of the wastewater treatment system
- Working independently and as part of a team to ensure safe, reliable service
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Competency in high school–level algebra
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Demonstrate initiative, dependability, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Position Details:
- Full-time position
- Nights and weekends as required
- Competitive pay based on experience
